Chiefs Take Season Opener 8-2

(Malden, MA)- Silas Reed went six innings to get thw win when the Chiefs began defense of their 2023 title with a 8-2 win over the Malden Maddogs at Maplewood on Monday night.
Ruben Rodriguez Jr led the way at the plate with a double and three RBI’s Joe Bova (pictured) added two RBI’s.
Reed scattered five hits and struck out five. A.J. Rourke worked a scoreless seventh for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Morelli Field to meet the Melrose Americans at 7:30 PM.
