Caulfield 3 RBI's Gives Chiefs 4th Straight Win, Beat Expos 7-2
Malden, MA- Andrew Caulfield drove in three runs and Juan Parra scored three runs and reached base four consecutive times to lead the Chiefs to a rain delayed 7-2 win over the Sabertooth Expos on Wednesday night at Maplewood.
Caulfield (pictured) had a single and double and Parra had three singles and drew a walk to pace the offense.
Miles Reid chipped in with two hits and a couple of runs scored and Nate Witkowski had a double for the Chiefs.
Manager Anthony Perry used five pitchers in the game. Starter Bryan Saffelle went two innings and allowed the two Expos runs before giving way to Jonathan Chotkowski (1-0) who picked up the win. Chotkowski, Shai Cohen, Diego Bravo and Jon Matos held the Expos scoreless over the final six frames while surrendering just one hit.
It was the fourth consecutive win for the Chiefs who raised their record to 5-1 on the young season. The club begins a two- game road trip on Thursday when then travel to Lexington to meet the Blue Sox at 8:00 PM. On Friday, the Chiefs visit the Expos at Trum Field in Somerville also starting at 8:00 PM.
