Posted a 4-1 record during the 2017 regular season with an ERA of 1.09.....Struck out 46 batters in 44.2 overall innings.....Led the pitching staff in virtually all categories in 2016 and recorded six win in 67.2 innings and struck out 65 batters while making 11 starts.....Faced the minimum of 21 batters in a one-hitter at Victory Field on August 1, 2016....Posted a 3-1 regular season record in 2015 with a miniscule 0.37 ERA while appearing in 10 overall games.....Tossed a no-hitter against the Watertown Reds with 7 K's on July 29, 2015......Overcame an early season injury in 2014 and emerged a key member of the Chiefs' starting rotation in time for the championship run, finishing up his first year with the Chiefs with an overall 4-1 record and an ERA of 2.29 in five starts....Threw a complete game three-hitter to lead the team to a key win in Game Three of the 2014 championship series.....Is currently 9th on the Chiefs all-time win list with 18....Mitchell was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 21st Round of the 2009 Major League draft…….Pitched five seasons in the professional ranks (2009-2013) and holds a career 28-26 record with an ERA of 4.46 in 461.1 innings……Appeared in 102 games as a pro while starting 73 times….Won nine games in three separate seasons for Vermont and Gulf Coast in 2010, Single A Hagerstown in 2011, and Double A Sioux Falls in 2012….Made 16 starts for Sioux Falls in 2013 while posting a 4-5 record in 79.1 innings before an injury cut his season short……Completed his college career at UMass-Amherst in 2009 where he posted an 11-6 record after transferring from the University of Maine where he made 22 appearances for the Black Bears…Struck out a career high 12 batters for UMass against St. Bonaventure on May 1, 2009…..  Before UMass and the University of Maine, Mitchell was a two-time all-conference selection while pitching for the Arlington Catholic Cougars……Also pitched for two summers with the Pittsfield Dukes of the NECBL……6’5 lefty was born in Winchester, MA and currently resides in Woburn, MA…..
