Chiefs Receive 2012 Championship Rings
Medford, MA- The 2012 Chiefs received their championship rings over the weekend. The rings were designed by Balfour Ring Company coordinated through the efforts of Hal Smith of NES Jewelry of Littleton, MA. Smith, a former Harvard standout, played in the Boston Park League in the 1970’s for Mass Envelope.
The ring features a replica of the Chiefs logo set over a garnet stone, replicating the colors of the team. Each ring has the players name, number and position etched on one side, with the Intercity logo and the team's overall record on the other.
The members of last season’s championship squad got their rings at an on field ceremony at Huskins Field, the longtime home of the Chiefs, located on the campus of Tufts University in Medford.
