Merchants-Chiefs PPD for Second Straight Day, Teams Will Try Again on Tuesday at 5:30 PM

Medford, MA- Despite the best effort of the Tufts University grounds crew & Chiefs staff, the torrential downpour that hit South Medford shortly after 3:00 PM today put an end to any hope of tonight's Merchants at Chiefs game being played at 5:30.
"Despite the field already being marginal from Sunday's rain, we had a real good shot of getting the game in before the late afternoon downpour," said Paul Crisafulli of the Chiefs. "It's too bad because the storm only lasted 20 minutes and the sun came out, but the damage was done and there was no chance of having Huskins ready for a 5:30 PM start," he added.
The Chiefs and Merchants have re-scheduled the game for Tuesday at 5:30 PM.
