Three time ICL all-star was named as starting catcher in the 2009 classic.... Started 36 games for the Chiefs last summer hitting .255 with a fielding percentage of .990... Came to the Chiefs from the Cassell Club where he was the starting catcher in 2007 & 2008... ...Named ICL Rookie of the Year in 2007 when he hit an overall .330 with 17 RBI... Formerly a four year starter at Merrimack College where he caught the second most games in the school's history.... Is the son of Bob and Linda McCarthy of Chelmsford, MA and has one sibling - Sara ... Was a four-year baseball letter winner at Burlington High School and also earned three letters in hockey.... ..Nicknamed ‘Bobo", he graduated from Merrimack with a degree in electronic engineering in 2009....
