Lefty has made 27 starts for the Chiefs over the last three years...... Has posted a career 2.38 ERA in 155 innings... ..Put up a 5-2 record with an ERA of 1.81 and 50 K's last season while being named to the ICL all-stars......Threw a complete game victory in his college debut for Merrimack to beat Rollins in Winter Park, FL on March 14, 2007....Completes his Merrimack career second all-time in innings pitched (215.1), strikeouts (185) and ERA (3.05) ... This spring he led the Warriors with 80.2 innings pitched ...Struck out 71 batters (7th in NE-10) while holding the opposition to a .209 batting average (10th in NE-10) and recorded a 4-4 record, including a Northeast-10 Championship 4-0 complete game win over New Haven on May 7, allowing just two hits and striking out eight ... Had a season-high 12 strikeouts against New Haven on April 18 in a complete game effort... Pitched four complete games while finishing the season with a 2.01 ERA, good for 7th in the NE-10... A finalist for the Merrimack Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year. ...Son of Mike and Kim Ellis of Gloucester, MA, he graduated from Merrimack in 2010....
