Floral Arts Forces Game 5 with 8-5 Victory on Wednesday Night
Floral Arts prevailed in a tightly contested game with an 8-5 victory over the Mustangs and evened the series at 2 games apiece.
Larry Mardany was stellar on the mound, allowing runs in only 3 innings. Several players contributed key RBIs for Floral, including Tom Semeter, Mike Alonardo, Simon Tripp, and Jon Haslam. Jim Peloquin had two hits for the winners and Jon Haslam squeezed the clinching out on a nice running play in right center field.
Paul Selfridge had two hits including a home run for the Mustangs. Fellow Mustangs who contributed 2 hits included Jack Erickson, Jim Ward, Jay Lincoln, and Craig Smith. Bill Knute threw out a runner at home and continued his stellar outfield defense for the Mustangs in left field.
The fifth and final game is scheduled for Friday night at 7 PM.
