Floral Arts 19 - Healy Oil 6 (6 Innings)

Floral Arts defeated Healy Oil, 19-6, in six innings. Floral Arts erupted broke open the game in the fifth and sixth innings, scoring six and five runs respectively. Jim Peloquin was 3 for 4 with eight RBIs. He hit two home runs (three-run homer and a grand slam). James Gibson was 3 for 3 with a home run and a double. Jonathan Morgan went 4 for 4. Dave O'Keefe had two hits, including a home run. Bill Martin (four hits) and Joe Ingalls played well offensively and defensively for Healy.

Short Cuts Landscaping 21 - Mustangs 10

SCL handed Mustangs their first loss of the season, 21-10. Donny Aiken pitched a fine game, keeping the powerful Mustang offense from scoring their typical 15 runs. Chris Smith went 5 for 5 with four runs scored for Short Cuts. The Short Cuts offense clobbered five home runs: David Schwalb led the way with two home runs, while Mike Gross, Rich Acabbo and Dave Schwalb each combined to hit three in a row in the fifth inning. Mark Cusano and Dan Crogan (three runs scored) led the Mustangs with three hits each. Fred Mettler also chipped in with two doubles and three RBI.

Drew Farms 12 - PST 11

Drew Farms squeaked by with a win, in a game where both teams gunned down a player at the plate, and where both teams gained and relinquished the lead. It took Tom Menucci’s seventh inning double, which scored Matt Chamberline, to earn the walk-off win, 12-11. Drew Farm's Pitcher Don Barnas made three great defensive plays on the mound. Matt Chamberlain went 4 for 4 from the leadoff spot. Todd Shepherd went 3 for 3 with two home runs, and Jason Goldthwaite also went 3 for 3 with two RBI and scored twice.  Dave Weaver lead the way offensively for PST going 3-3 with a HR.

Floral Arts 15 - Drew Farms 6

Floral Arts improved its record to 18-2 with a convincing win over Drew Farms on Friday night. Jonathan Morgan was 3 for 3 with a home run. Morgan also made a half dozen put outs at second base. Simon Tripp homered for Floral Arts. Dean Wormell was 2 for 3 and scored two runs.

Mustangs 15 - PST 1

The Mustangs bounced back from their first loss with a solid win against PST on Friday night. Cleanup hitter Bill Knute led the Mustangs with two hits, one home run and six RBI. The top two hitters in the Mustang lineup, Paul Selfridge and Jim Ward, each went 3 for 3 with three runs scored. Pitcher Don Cusano earned the win on the mound and contributed two hits and two runs scored. Jim Ward made several outstanding catches in left center field for the Mustangs. PST could only muster four hits, highlighted by Tim Schutt's solo home run.

Mustangs 14 - Floral Arts 8 (8 Innings)

A six run explosion in extra innings by the Mustangs broke open the game between the two top teams, as Mustangs have all but secured a first place finish by defeating Floral Arts, 14-8. Down 7-2 in the fifth, the Mustangs roared back to tie the game on the power of a Don Cusano grand glam home run. Mustangs took the lead in the top of seventh, but Simon Tripp tied the game with a home run in the bottom of the inning to send the game to extra innings. Mike Kennedy had a hustle double in the top of the 7th inning to set himself up to score the tying run. Jay Lincoln had four hits for the Mustangs. Paul Selfridge added two hits, including a homer. Jim Ward, Mike Kennedy, and Dan Crogan provided great defense for the winners.
