In a rain-shortened outing, Z's #1 Team of Alison Walshe and 3 others took first place with an eye-opening score of 12 under after 13 holes. The team had completed their 14th hole, but this par was thrown out to give all teams an equal number of holes completed. Rumor has it that also contributing to this victory were Tim Schutt, Gary Royal, and Larry Zupkosky. The Z's "A" team defeated the defending champions by one shot, as the Dellorso's brough both golf team sons in an attempt to defend their championship. Failing to do so, they might have won almost half of the raffle prizes. The #2 Team of John Bodi, Tom Coffey, Matt Dolan, and Derek Donegan finished a respectable 2 under. Respectable in that they regularly were the beneficiaries of huge drives and absolutely horrendous second shots. Up and down to save par was the theme of the day. Bodi was robbed of closest to the pin on the par 3 second hole, when his life time best shot of 46" was topped by some ringer (and yes, Dave, we made the putt). But the team did accomplish something that the "A" team didn't- they were able to drive the par 4 First hole (no one else has to know that Walshe's drive went beyond the green).
