The Pirates will finally start the season this Wednesday against Morristown.
2. Brophy Prep // Phoenix, Ariz. // 18-1 // *5
Brophy upended then No. 2 Horizon, 10-5, in the finals of the Cleats National Invitational Tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz. Senior shortstop Tony Strazzara went 4-for-5 with four RBI. Brophy will play Horizon twice this week in a home-and-home series.
3. South Caldwell // Hudson, N.C. // 11-0 // *3
The Spartans blanked A.C. Reynolds, 10-0, in five innings. Senior left-hander Madison Bumgarner fanned seven and allowed only two hits.
4. Palm Beach Gardens // Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. // 17-1 // *4
Derek Sejnoha provided plenty of pop in an 11-1 victory over Palm Beach Lakes. The senior first baseman went 3-for-4, blasted a homer and drove in the five to lead the Gators.
5. Horizon // Scottsdale, Ariz. // 19-1 // *2
Horizon suffered its first defeat of the season after falling to archrival and now No. 2 Brophy Prep, 10-5, in the finals of the Cleats National Invitational Tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz. Horizon will get a chance at redemption when it plays Brophy in a home-and-home series this week.
6. Katy // Katy, Texas // 21-3 // *6
The Tigers continued to pound the opposition, scoring 24 runs in two wins last week over Cinco Ranch (12-1) and Elsik (12-0).
7. Cypress // Cypress, Calif. // 11-1 // *8
David Nick, Mike Rivera and Matt Kanuse each provided two hits in a 10-0 win over Loara. Nick’s hits were both doubles and he knocked in two.
8. Long Beach Wilson // Long Beach, Calif. // 14-1 // *9
Wilson edged then-No. 15 Lakewood, 7-6. Junior designated hitter Jesse Vansickle went 3-for-4 with two RBI and drove in what proved to be the game-winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth.
9. Auburn // Auburn, Wash. // 9-0 // *11
Junior first baseman David Olson was simply dominant in a 15-4 victory over White River. Olson went 3-for-3 with two grand slams, a double and eight RBI.
10.  Sarasota // Sarasota, Fla. // 13-2 // *13
Junior right-hander Casey Kelly continued his hot run on the hill by tossing a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 7-2 victory over Winter Haven in the finals of the Blue Devil Classic. Kelly is 6-0 this season.
11. Kennesaw Mountain // Kennesaw, Ga. // 12-2 // *7
The Mustangs were edged by McEachern, 2-1, but bounced back with an 8-2 win over Etowah. Kennesaw Mountain’s two losses this year have come by one run apiece.
12. Bishop Gorman // Las Vegas, Nev. // 10-2-1 // *16
The Gaels went 3-1 in the Cleats National Invitational Tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz. After losing to then-No. 2 Horizon (Scottsdale, Ariz.), 6-0, in their first game, the Gaels responded with three consecutive wins, capped by a 12-6 over Canyon del Oro (Tucson, Ariz.). Junior catcher John Rickard went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBI, sophomore outfield Joey Rickard went 3-for-4 with four runs scored, a homer and three RBI and senior shortstop Taylor Cole was 3-for-3 with four RBI.
13. Flower Mound // Flower Mound, Texas // 17-2-2 // *10
Flower Mound suffered its second consecutive loss in a 5-4 setback to Creekview. The Jaguars snapped the streak by defeating Coppell, 9-3. Catcher Jimmie Pharr hit a three-run homer, while second baseman Ryan Atkins also drove in three.
14. Chatsworth // Chatsworth, Calif. // 10-3 // *17
The Chancellors beat up on Taft last week, defeating the Toreadors 5-0 and 14-0. Senior righty Trent Jones and junior righty James Wharton picked up the victories. Senior shortstop Mike Moustakas added home runs Nos. 11 and 12 for the season in the second game against Taft.
15. Flanagan // Pembroke Pines, Fla. // 14-3 // *18
The Falcons have now won seven in a row after knocking off Cypress Bay (9-4) and McArthur (18-2) last week. Junior southpaw R.J. Fondon improved to 7-0 on the year in the win over Cypress Bay and junior third baseman Rolando Gomez went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored.
16. Madison // Vienna, Va. // 5-0 // *19
The Warhawks remained perfect on the season thanks to blowout victories over Jefferson (12-3) and South Lakes (10-0) last week. Junior Brig Tison and senior David McIntyre each doubled and drove in two runs in the win over Jefferson.
17. Klein Collins // Spring, Texas // 20-3 // *20
The Tigers kept rolling through District 16-5A play with decisive victories over Klein Oak (13-1) and Tomball (11-1).
18. Barbe // Lake Charles, La. // 24-3 // *22
The Buccaneers have won three consecutive games since losing their District 2-5A opener to Lafayette two weeks ago.
19. Bartlett // Memphis, Tenn. // 12-0 // *NR
The Panthers upset preseason No. 12 Lexington Catholic in the Riverside Warrior Spring Classic last week to vault into the RISE National Top 25.
20. Union // Tulsa, Okla. // 11-1 // *23
The Redskins won a game at Enid’s Gladys Winters Tournament last week before rain cancelled the rest of the event. Union will be back in action at the Owasso Tournament this week.
21. Lexington Catholic // Lexington, Ky. // 4-1 // *12
After opening the season with a win over Conner, the Knights went 3-1 at the Riverside Warrior Spring Classic last week to fall nine spots in the rankings.
22. George Washington // New York, N.Y. // 9-0 // *25
A week after sweeping Manhattan Center, the Trojans dealt Frederick Douglass Academy the same blow with wins of 13-0 and 6-2 last week.
23. Lakewood // Lakewood, Calif. // 13-3 // *15
The Lancers were featured in the first-ever RISE Game of the Week against LB Wilson last week, but lost to the Bruins by a run. Lakewood bounced back by destroying Compton (29-0) and Culver (12-0).
24. Langham Creek // Houston, Texas // 21-1 // *NR
Since dropping a 1-0 game to Cy-Fair on March 17, the Lobos have outscored their next four opponents 47-4. Langham Creek beat Cy Springs (5-0) and Cy Creek (21-1) last week to help make their debut in the RISE National Top 25.
25. James Monroe // New York, Texas // 12-0 // *NR
The Eagles flew into spring break with a pair of wins over Alfred E. Smith (15-0 and 13-1) and Bronx Science (23-0).
