 Katy Tigers, District 18-5A, Katy ISD. Just two short seasons ago the Katy Tigers were playing for the State Championship with nothing short of a remarkable junior class. Unfortunately for the Tigers that class (2007) has now moved on; (Bret Attwood (Texas State), Aaron Daab (Texas A &M), Andrew Dresden (Tyler JC), Michael Fuda (Rice), Carter Jurica (Kansas State), Nick Pepitone (Tulane), Michael Sauceda (Hill JC), Tim Yager (Hill JC),  and the rebuilding process at Katy has begun. Well, maybe not. The last time we wrote that, the Tigers ended up in Round Rock.

The Tigers return:

Joey Fuda (Sr.) – 2 year letterman & Starter-Outfielder, / Pitcher – 2006 & 2007 All District 18 5A Outfielder;

Jared Fancher - (Jr.) -2 Year letterman & Starter - infielder / outfielder 2007 -1^st Team All District 18 5A-outfielder;

Garrett Laukaitus – (Sr.) - 1^st year letter man – Pitcher / short stop;

Keifer Nuncio – (Jr.) –2 year letterman & Starter - Pitcher / infielder 2007 - 1^st Team All District 18 5A Pitcher – record of (4-0);

Andrew Stumph – (Jr.) –2 year letterman & Starter - Catcher/Pitcher 2007 -1^st -Team All District 18 5A- catcher, 2007 - 1^st Team All State catcher,

Also keep an eye out for the big Jr. RHP Tyler Herr. Needless to say, Coach McPherson and staff won’t be sneaking up on anybody as they have established a reputation for putting the pieces together for a successful program year after year.
