Northside Sophomore Boys QUALIFY 13 Athletes in nine events for City Finals!! Josh Burns is one of the Top 8 Hurdlers in Chicago!

On Saturday, April 29, 2017, the Northside Sophomore Boys Track & Field Team traveled to Hanson Stadium in Chicago, Illinois for the Sophomore PRELIMS for the Chicago Public League Championships!

 The Northside Mustangs qualified 13 ATHLETES for the finals, in 9 events, including the 3200m run (2), 4x800m Relay (8), 100m Dash (1), 300m Hurdles (1), 1600m Run (1), 200m Dash (1), 4x400m Relay (8), High Jump (1), and Long Jump (1). This was the most athletes Northside qualified for the City Finals since they won the Sophomore City Title in 2013 with 15 athletes.

Qualifiers for the CPS Sophomore Track & Field FINALS on SATURDAY Include:

1. Josh Burns - 300m Hurdles 

2. Chris Jackson - Long Jump 

3. Payton Kane - 4x800m Relay  

4. Suchith Karri - 4x400m Relay

5. Seth Karall - 3200m, 4x800m Relay, 4x400m Relay  

6. John Kim - 4x800m Relay, 4x400m Relay

7. Jalen Miron - 4x800m Relay, 4x400m Relay

8. Jeronimo Najarro - 4x400m Relay

9. Norberto Nieves - 4x800m Relay 

10. Osazee Osaghae - 100m, 200m, 4x400m Relay

11. Ian Shimandle - 4x800m Relay, 4x400m Relay 

12. Kris Ushijima - 3200m, 4x800m Relay, 1600m Run

13. Marcus Zinke - High Jump, 4x800m Relay, 4x400m Relay
