Jay Borgwardt WINS Long Jump, helps 4x100m Relay WIN, and finishes SECOND in 110m Hurdles at Deerfield Warrior Classic!
On Wednesday, April 12, 2017, the Northside Varsity Men traveled to Adams Stadium at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois for the 2017 Deerfield Warrior Track & Field Classic.
The meet featured Glenbrook North, Northside College Prep, and host Deerfield High School.
Individual events were scored 5-3-2-1, and relays were scored 5-3.
Deerfield High School is one of the most highly competive places to compete at in Illinois. As recently as 2011, Deerfield High School finished fifth in the Class 3A State Track & Field Championships.
In the Long Jump, Northside Senior Jay Borgwardt won it with a leap of 17'10.5. Northside Junior Nick Brown finished in fifth place with an outstanding jump of 17'2. Northside Freshman phenom Chris Jackson finished in sixth place with a personal best jump of 17'0.5. Northside Junior Osama Hassen finished in eighth place with a jump of 15'7.50. Northside Junior Mason Sotomayor finished in tenth place with a jump of 14'0.5.
In the Triple Jump, Northside Junior Nick Brown finished in fourth place with a triple jump
