Sophomore Norberto Nieves WINS 800m run! Sophomore Kris Ushijima 3rd in 1600m! Gabriel Vara 5th in 1600m!
On Friday, February 3, 2017, the Northside Sophomore Track & Field Team traveled to Skokie, Illinois for the Niles West Wolves Indoor Classic.
The Niles West Wolves Indoor Classic featured 11 schools, including Niles North, Northtown Academy, Taft, Northside College Prep, DePaul College Prep, Perspective Auburn, Perspetive MSA, Von Steuben, Mather, Curie, and host Niles West.
In the Sophomore 50m Dash, Ikeena Elue ran an official time of 7.30.
In the Sophomore 200m Dash, Ikeena Elue ran an official time of 29.80.
In the Sophomore 55m Low Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Ikeena Elue finished in fourth place with a personal best time of 11.10.
In the Sophomore 600m run, Northside Sophomore Daniel Panaganiban finished in 14th place with an official time of 1:57.76.
In the Sophomore 800m run, Northside Sophomore Norberto Nieves WON the 800m run with an official time of 2:22.0. Northside Sophomore John Kim finished in fourth place with an official time of 2:29.00.
In the Sophomore 1600m run, Northside Sophomore Kris Ushijima finished in third place with an official time of 5:23.00. Northside Sophomore Gabriel Vara finished in fifth place with an official time of 5:29.00.
In the Long Jump, Northside Sophomore Norberto Nieves finished in 5th place with a leap of 14'10.25.
In the 4x400m Relay, Northside finished in 2nd place in the Sophomore division.
The Northside Sophomores scored 36 points at the Niles West Indoor Classic.
