Alumni legend Danny Rosen comes from behind to WIN 3000m Steeplechase heat at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California!

 Northside Alumni legend Danny Rosen holds school records in the 1600m (4:22), 800m (1:56), 4x800m, 4x1600m, and Distance Medley Relay. Rosen also finished TWICE in the Top 2 at the Outdoor Chicago Public League Championships in the 1600m, and won the Indoor State Title in the 800m.

 During his high school career, Rosen qualified for the IHSA Outdoor State Championships in the 4x800m Relay, and the 1600m run. Rosen earned All State Honors in the 1600m run.

 The Steeplechase is not a high school event in Illinois. However, Eastern Illinois University, the host of the IHSA Outdoor State Championships provides an open Steeplechase competition after the prelims are completed at the State Championships every year. Rosen learned how to Steeplechase at the IHSA Outdoor State Championships, and holds the Northside School record in the 1000m Steeplechase.

 Danny Rosen is currently a collegiate Fresman at Pomona, and had a legendary performance at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Cougar Stadium in Azusa, California.

 The 3000m Steeplechase featured athletes from Gonzaga, Texas Tech, Biola, Missouri, Cal St. Fullerton, Seattle U, Alaska Anchorage, San Diego, Frenso State, Grand Canyon, Cal St. San Marcos, Central Arizona, Texas Trinity, Paradise Valley, Providence Christian, University of California Riverside, University of California San Diego, Western Washington, UT-RIO Grande Valley, South Dakoka State, Northern Arizona, University of Califoria Irvine, Idaho, Southwest Baptist, Arkansas, Sam Houston State, Dallas Baptist, Webster State, Western Washington, Boston University, Colorado, Cedarville, and Boise State.

 The Bryan Clay Invitational was broadcasted live on FloTrack, and for most of the race Solomon Demeku-Ousman of UC Riverside (9:17.21) is leading the field. Northside Alumni legned Danny Rosen (Blue Uniform, racing with glasses) is not even in the picture until the final 1000m of the race. On the final lap, Danny Rosen had an incredible finish to outkick the entire field to WIN his heat of the 3000m Steeplechase at the finish line with a personal best time of 9:16.98. Rosen is now within two seconds of the automatic qualifying time for NCAA Nationals.
