Northside finishes in THIRD place in the 4x200m Relay at the Indoor City Championships! 4x400m Relay finishes in SECOND at Indoor City!

 In the 4x200m Relay, Simeon won with an official time of 1:36.80. Kenwood finished in second place with an official time of 1:37.22. Chicago Northside finished in THIRD place with a season best time of 1:37.28. Brooks finished in fourth place with an official time of 1:37.76. Hubbard finished in fifth place with an official time of 1:38.96. Clark finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 1:40.19.

 It took a time of 1:36.40 to qualify for the 2016 Indoor State Championships in the 4x200m Relay.  Northside came within 0.88 of a second for qualifying for the Indoor State Championships.

 In the 4x200m Relay, Northside Sophomore phenom Nicholas Brown ran an outstanding 200m split of 24.64 on the first leg of the relay. Northside Senior Steven Kataba ran an outstanding 200m split of 24.72 on the second leg of the relay. Northside Senior Justin Washington ran an impressive 200m split of 23.19 on the third leg of the relay. Northside Senior Keith Jones anchored the Mustangs to THIRD place with an impressive 24.35 200m split for an official time of 1:37.28. Nicholas Brown, Steven Kataba, Justin Washington, and Keith Jones were awarded BRONZE MEDALS for finishing in third place overall.

 In the 4x400m Relay, Northside won the first heat, and finished in second place overall with an official time of 3:42.78. Junior Jay Borgwardt ran the first 200m in 25 seconds, and then ran the final 200m in 29 seconds for a 54.63 400m split on the first leg of the relay. Senior Steven Kataba ran the first 200m in 28 seconds, and then ran the final 200m in 29 seconds for a 57.27 400m split on the second leg of the relay. Junior Alex Ortiz ran the first 200m in 28 seconds, and then ran the final 200m in an EVEN split of 28 seconds for a 56.29 400m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Senior Danny Rosen anchored the Mustangs by running the first 200m in 26 seconds, and then ran the final 200m in 27 seconds for a 53.54 400m split for an official time of 3:42.78. Jay Borgwardt, Steven Kataba, Alex Ortiz, and Danny Rosen were awarded SILVER MEDALS for finishing in second place overall.
