Alex Ortiz WINS Sophomore 1600m run at the Mike VanDeever Invitational!

In the Sophomore 1600m run, Northside Sophomore Alex Ortiz ran the first 400m in 72 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 75 seconds (2:27 800m), and then ran the next 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 74 seconds (3:41 1200m), and then ran the final 400m in another NEGATIVE split of 69 seconds to WIN the 1600m run with an outstanding time of 4:50.94. Alex Ortiz was awarded a MEDAL for winning the 1600m run! Alex Ortiz ran the first 800m in 2:27, and then ran the final 800m in a NEGATIVE split of 2:23 to WIN the 1600m run!
