Alex Ortiz, Sergio Soto, Brian McManus, and Kyle Friedler WIN Sophomore 4x800m Relay at Mike VanDeever Invitational! Champs!

In the Sophomore 4x800m Relay, 11 schools competed for the Gold Medals at the Mike VanDeever Invitational. Northside Sophomore Alex Ortiz ran the first 400m in 67 seconds, and opened up the lead by running the final 400m in an EVEN split of 67 seconds for an outstanding 800m split of 2:14.90, and made a perfect exchange to Sergio Soto. Northside Sophomore Sergio Soto ran the first 400m in 64 seconds, and then ran the final 400m 72 seconds for an outstanding 800m split of 2:16.55, and made a nice exchange to Brian McManus. Northside Sophomore Brian McManus ran the first 400m in 69 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 74 seconds for an 800m split of 2:23.48, and made a good exchange to Kyle Friedler.
