Northside Seniors Frejowski and McCoy finish 1st and 4th in the 400m Dash! Northside Junior Troy Hu BREAKS the FIVE MINUTES BARRIER in the 1600m run!

 In the Varsity 4x200m Relay, Northside Junior Steven Kataba ran the first 200m in a split of 24.94 on the first leg of the relay. Northside Junior Keith Jones ran a 200m split of 24.33 on the second leg of the relay. Northside Junior Justin Washington ran a 200m split of 24.29 on the third leg of the relay. Northside Senior Gabriel Jiminez-Ekman anchored the Mustangs to THIRD place with a 25.09 200m split for an official time of 1:39.07.

 In the Varsity 400m Dash, Northside Senior Tom Frejowski WON it with an official time of 52.27. Northside Senior Max McCoy finished in fourth place with a PERSONAL BEST time of 56.80. Northside Sophomore Josh Borgwardt ran an outstanding time of 58.87.

 In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside Senior Malcolm Grba ran the first 800m in 2:15, and then ran the next 800m in a NEGATIVE split of 2:12 to WIN it with a personal best time of 4:27.76. Malcolm Grba ran the second fastest time in Northside history!

 The Bench Mark for elite Distance runners in the 1600m run is the Five Minutes Barrier. Northside Junior Troy Hu dropped 7 seconds off his best time (5:04.48) to BREAK THE FIVE MINUTES BARRIER with a personal best time of 4:57.15. Troy Hu ran the first 800m in 2:24, and then ran the final 800m in 2:33 for an official time of 4:57.15.

 Northside Sophomore Jakob Lemke ran the first 800m in 2:36, and then ran the final 800m in 2:42 for a personal best time of 5:18.21.

 Northside Freshman Kyle Lowenthal ran the first 800m in 2:41, and then ran the final 800m in 2:52 for an outstanding time of 5:33.01.

 Northside Junior Michael Rupprecht ran the first 800m in 2:53, and then ran the final 800m in a NEGATIVE split of 2:50 for a personal best time of 5:43.00. Michael Rupprecht dropped 15 seconds off his best time (5:58) with an officail time of 5:43.00.

 Northside Freshman George McCoy dropped 11 seconds off his best time (6:09) with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:58.00. George McCoy ran the first 800m in 2:59, and then ran the final 800m in an EVEN split of 2:59 for an official time of 5:58.00.
