Four Northside Freshman finish in SECOND place in the Varsity 4x800m Relay at the Spartan Classsic! Philip Wdowiak anchors 4x100m Relay!

 In the Varsity 4x800m Relay, Distance phenom Charles Nash anchored Deerfield to victory with an official time of 8:40. Glenbrook North did not field a 4x800m Relay Team, and placed their Indoor State Champion 4x800m Relay athletes in individual events. Northside featured a 4x800m Relay that consisted of four freshman athletes. The Four Northside Freshman athletes earned Varsity letters by scoring a point by finishing in second place with an official time of 11:16.48. Northside Freshman Kyle Lowenthal ran the first 400m in 69 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 79 seconds for an 800m split of 2:28.90 on the first leg of the 4x800m Relay. Northside Freshman Justin Bologna ran the first 400m in 82 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 94 seconds for an 800m split of 2:56.91 on the second leg of the 4x800m Relay. Northside Freshman Sebastien Vondrak ran the first 400m in 95 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 97 seconds for an 800m split of 3:12.31 on the third leg of the 4x800m Relay. Northside Freshman George McCoy, without any spikes, dropped 8 seconds off his best time (2:46.30) with an 800m split of 2:38.56 on the anchored leg of the relay for an official time of 11:16.48. George McCoy ran the first 400m in 72  seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 81 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST 800m split of 2:38.56 to anchor the Mustangs to SECOND place with an official time of 11:16.48.

 In the Varsity 4x100m Relay, Glenbrook North won it. Deerfield finished in second place. Northside finished in THIRD place with an official time of 48.60. Northside Junior Steven Kataba ran a 100m split of 13.13 on the first leg of the relay. Northside Junior Keith Jones ran an impressive 100m split of 10.77 on the second leg of the relay. Northside Senior Gabriel Jiminez-Ekhman ran a 100m split of 13.54 on the third leg of the relay. Northside Junior Philip Wdowiak anchored Northside to THIRD place with an impressive 100m split of 11.06 for an official time of 48.60.
