In the Varsity 1600m run, Thirty athletes from six school competed. Northside Sophomore Brian McManus finished in seventh place overall with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:19.75. Brian McManus ran the first 800m in 2:37, and then ran the final 800m in 2:42 for an outstanding time of 5:19.75. Northside Sophomore Sergio Soto finished in eighth place overall with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:22.55. Sergio Soto dropped 14 seconds (5:36) off his best time with a 5:22.55. Sergio Soto ran the first 800m in 2:41, and then ran the final 800m in an EVEN split of 2:41 for an official time of 5:22.55. Northside Sophomore Jakob Lemke ran the first 800m in 2:42, and then ran the final 800m in 2:44 to finish in tenth place with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:26.96. Jakob Lemke dropped 22 seconds (5:48) off his best time with a 5:26.96.
