Kyle Friedler, Sergio Soto, McManus, and Hu WIN the Patrick Brennan, Malcolm Grba, Danny Rosen, and Simon Kafka 4x800m at the Eric Nelson Classic!

 The 4x800m Relay at the Eric Nelson Classic is named after Northside legends Patrick Brennan, Malcolm Grba, Danny Rosen, and Simon Kafka. In 2013, Chicago Northside (8:14.69) broke the school record and upset the East St. Louis Flyers (8:15.66) to Qualify for the State Finals in the 4x800m Relay! In honor of Northside IHSA State qualifiers and School Record holders, the 4x800m Relay at the Eric Nelson classic is named after Northside legends Patrick Brennan, Malcolm Grba, Danny Rosen, and Simon Kakfa.

 In the Varsity Patrick Brennan, Malcolm Grba, Danny Rosen, and Simon Kafka 4x800m Relay at the Eric Nelson Classic, Northside WON it with an official time of 9:11.89. On the first leg of the relay, Northside Sophomore Kyle Friedler ran the first 400m in 65 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 68 for a PERSONAL BEST 800m split of 2:13.80, and made a nice exchange to Sergio Soto. Northside Sophomore Sergio Soto ran the first 400m in 65 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 73 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST 800m split of 2:18.53, and made a good exchange to Brian McManus. Northside Sophomore Brian McManus ran the first 400m in 67 seconds, and then ran the final 400m in 75 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST 800m split of 2:22.22, and made an exchange to Troy Hu. Northside Junior Troy Hu ran the first 400m in 66 seconds, and then anchored Northside to VICTORY by running the final 400m in 70 seconds for an impressive 800m split of 2:16.84 for an official time of 9:11.89. Kyle Friedler, Sergio Soto, Brian McManus, and Troy Hu will be awarded Plaques for winning the Varsity 4x800m Relay!

 Von Steuben finished in second place with an official time of 9:30.13. Chicago Bulls finished in third place with an official time of 9:54.11. Chicago Leo finished in fourth place with an official time of 9:58.37. Ogden International finished in fifth place with an official time of 10:33.07. Roosevelt finished in sixth place with an official time of 11:32.14.
