Northside Junior Philip Wdowiak is one of the Mustangs top sprinters, and he is also having a major impact for Northside in the middle distance events this season. He is a great athlete, and a tremendous asset to the Northside Track & Field Team. Wdowiak can score in any Track event from the 50m Dash to the 800m run, and he is also awesome in all of the relays.

Philip Wdowiak is a multi-sport athlete, and was also scheduled to play in a hockey game at soliders field on Saturday. Philip Wdowiak plays center in hockey, and also competes for the Northside Soccer Team.

Northside had a tragedy on the first turn of the 800m run at Glenbrook North. Northside Junior Philip Wdowiak tripped, and fell, and suffered cuts, scrapes, and also re-injured his thumb, which was already in a cast. He received immediate medical attention at the Spartan Indoor Classic. However, the thumb was not able to be examined until Friday because of the cast. Northside received a good medical report on Friday. Wdowiak could potentially return in time for the Maine East Blue Demon Invitational on March 7, 2015.

Glenbrook North's Jacob Friedman completed the scoring by finishing in fifth place with an official time of 2:35.0.

2014 IHSA 800m State Qualifier, Glenbrook North's Scott Thomas, is recovering from a stress fracture, and the Spartans expect him back in time for their Indoor Conference meet in March.
