Jacob Cosby finishes SECOND in Varsity Shot Put with a throw of 40'2 and FIFTH in Varsity High Jump!

In the Varsity Shot Put, Glenbrook North's Tyler Dea won it with a throw of 40'3. Northside Sophomore Jacob Cosby finished in SECOND place with an outstanding throw of 40'2. A Maine West thrower finished in third place overall with a throw of 39'4. Glenbrook North's Mac Turner finished in fourth place overall with a throw of 38'9.5. A Highland Park thrower finished in fifth place overall to complete the scoring with a throw of 38'2. Northside Sophomore Christion Guerrero threw a personal best 26'3. Northside Sophomore Carlos Saldana threw an outstanding 24'8. Northside Senior Harry Winters threw a personal best 23'6. Northside Freshman Jonathan Liu threw an outstanding 20'0. Northside Sophomore Vladimir Andrade threw a personal best 17'9.

 In the Varsity High Jump, Highland Park's Cerant won it with a leap of 5'6. Glenbrook North's Beniaris finished in second place with a jump of 5'6. Glenbrook North's Carmickle finished in third place with a jump of 5'4. Glenbrook North's Culbertson finished in fourth place with a jump of 5'4. Northside Sophomore Jacob Cosby finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a leap of 5'2. Northside Junior Garret Barch cleared 5'0 on his final attempt. Northside Sophomore Brandon Banas cleared 4'10 on his final attempt. Northside Freshman Asher Rappaport and Sophomore Methew Geevarghese made three outstanding attempts at 4'10, but were unable to clear it.
