Malcolm Grba finishes SECOND in the 800m run! Northside earns MEDALS in the 4x200m Relay!
In the Varsity 800m run, Northside Junior Malcolm Grba ran the first 400m in an impressive split of 57 seconds. Malcolm Grba then ran the final 400m in 66 seconds to finish in SECOND place with an outstanding time of 2:03.20. Malcolm Grba was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in second place overall.
In the Varsity 4x200m Relay, Northside Sophomore Steven Kataba ran a 25.38 200m split on the first leg of the relay, and made an exchange to Sophomore Keith Jones. Keith Jones ran a 26.35 200m split on the second leg of the relay, and made an exchange to Freshman Brandon Banas. Brandon Banas ran a 24.00 200m split on the third leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Junior Gabriel Jiminez-Ekhman. Gabriel Jiminez-Ekhman anchored the Mustangs past New Trier with a 25.43 200m split to finish in fourth place with an outstanding time of 1:41.69. Steven Kataba, Keith Jones, Brandon Banas, and Gabriel Jiminez-Ekhman were awarded MEDALS for finishing in fourth place overall.
