Northside 4x200m Relay upsets Yorkville! Sophomore Steven Kataba runs 55.56 400m split in 4x400m Relay!

 In the 4x200m Relay, Northside Sophomore Steven Kataba ran a 200m split of 23.11, and then made a nice exchange to Sophomore Keith Jones. Keith Jones ran a 200m split of 29.33, and had trouble getting the exchange to Garret Barch. It appeared that Barch took off to quickly. Garret Barch ran a 200m split of 23.34, and made an exchange to Sophomore Philip Wdowiak. Philip Wdowiak anchored Northside past Yorkville (1:43.70) with a 200m split of 25.16 for an official time of 1:41.53. Steven Kataba, Keith Jones, Garret Barch, and Philip Wdowiak were awarded RIBBONS for finishing in fifth place overall.

 In the 400m Dash, Northside Freshman Brandon Banas finished in seventh place with an official time of 58.66. Northside Freshman Josh Borgwardt ran an a good race with an official time of 62.41.

 In the 300m Hurdles, Northside Sophomores Justin Washington and Garret Barch were scratched.

 In the 1600m run, Northside Freshman Alex Ortiz DROPPED FOUR SECONDS (5:43) for a personal record of 5:39.38. Alex Ortiz ran 400m splits of 79, 89 (2:48 800m split), 90 (4:18 1200m), and then ran the final 400m in a NEGATIVE split of 80 seconds for a personal best time of 5:39.38. Northside Sophomore Matthew Gomez was scratched from the 1600m run.

 In the 200m Dash, Northside Sophomore Philip Wdowiak ran a PERSONAL BEST time of 24.80.

 In the 4x400m Relay, Northside Sophomore Steven Kataba ran a personal best 55.56 400m split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Brian McManus DROPPED 3.01 seconds (63.05) with a personal best 60.04 400m split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Josh Borgwardt ran a 64.38 400m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Brandon Banas ran a 59.19 400m split to anchor the Mustangs to fifth place with an official time of 3:59.55. Steven Kataba, Brian McManus, Josh Borgwardt, and Brandon Banas were awarded RIBBONS for finishing in fifth place overall.
