Tom Frejowski finishes fourth in the 400m dash with a 53.57! Danny Rosen BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD to WIN the 1600m run with a 4:33.37!!

 In the 400m Dash, Northside Junior Tom Frejowski finished in fourth place to secure vital points for the Mustangs with a season best time of 53.57. Tom Frejowski also earned All City Honors by placing in the Top 6. Tom Frejowski will be competing in the Indoor State Championships in the 4x800m Relay on Saturday, March 29, 2014.

 In the 1600m run, Northside Sophomore Danny Rosen DROPPED 7 seconds (4:40) to BREAK THE SCHOOL RECORD and WIN the Indoor City Title in the 1600m run with an official time of 4:33.37. It was  the second fastest time run by a Sophomore in the State of Illinois this year! Danny Rosen was awarded a MEDAL for winning the Indoor City Title in the 1600m run! Danny Rosen was also honored at practice on Monday with a WATERMELON for breaking the school record in the 1600m run! Danny Rosen ran the first 400m in 68 seconds, and then ran the next 400m in 71 seconds for an 800m split of 2:19. Danny Rosen then ran the next 400m in 70 seconds for a 1200m split of 3:29. Danny Rosen then passed Whitney Young Senior Michael Perez (4:36.90, 2nd place) for the lead, and ran the final 400m in an incredible NEGATIVE split of 64 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST time of 4:33.37. Sophomore Danny Rosen ran the first 800m in 2:19, and then ran the final 800m in a NEGATIVE split of 2:14 for a new school record of 4:33.37. Danny Rosen will be competing in the Indoor State Championships in the 4x800m Relay on Saturday, March 29, 2014.

 In the 200m Dash, Steven Kataba was the fastest Sophomore in the Indoor City Championships with an official time of 25.89.
