Adrian Black earns MEDAL in the 3200m run! Fitzpatrick and Osborne earn MEDALS in the Hurdles! Rosen and Gomez earn MEDALS in the 800m run!
In heat two of the 3200m run, New Trier's Rosenkranz won it with an official time of 9:41.2. New Trier's Kanwar finsihed in second place with an official time of 9:47.1. Maine West's Liston finished in third place with an official time of 9:47.5. Deerfield's Grant finished in fourth place with an official time of 10:16.7. Wheeling's Hoffman finished in fifth place with an official time of 10:38.1. Northside Junior Adrian Black ran the first mile in 5:18, and then ran the final mile in 5:22.30 to reach the medal stand by finishing in sixth place overall with an official time of 10:40.30. Adrian Black was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in sixth place overall.
In the 50 Yard High Hurdles Finals, Deerfield's Douglass won it with an official time of 6.6. Schaumburg's Maslowski finished in second place with an official time of 6.7. New Trier's Berglund finished in third place with an official time of 6.8. Northside Senior Lucien Fitzpatirck finished in fourth place with an official time of 7.2. Lucien Fitzpatrick was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in fourth place overall. Deerfield's Newhall finished in fifth place with an official time of 7.3. Northside Junior Matt Osborne reached the Medal stand by finishing in sixth place overall with an official time of 7.7. Matt Osborne was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in sixth place overall.
In the 50 Yard Dash Finals, Schaumburg's Smith won it with an official time of 5.50. Schaumburg's Thomas finished in second place with an official time of 5.50. Maine East Lopez finished in third place with an official time of 5.50. New Trier's Herlocker finished in fourth place with an official time of 5.7. Glenbard East's Olsen finished in fifth place with an official time of 5.7. New Trier's Lecimski finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 5.8.
In the 800m run, New Trier's Silverman won it with an official time of 2:01.0. Glenbard East's Booth finished in second place with an official time of 2:02.0. Northside Sophomore Danny Rosen ran 160m splits of 23, 23, 24, 27, and then ran the final 160m in a NEGATIVE split of 24.20 seconds for a PERSONAL BEST time of 2:02.20 to finish in third place overall. Danny Rosen was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in third place overall. New Trier's Cotsirilds finished in fourth place with an official time of 2:03.70. Deerfield's Nash finished in fifth place with an official time of 2:07.80. Northside Sophomore Matthew Gomez reached the Medal stand by finishing in sixth place overall with 160m splits of 24, 24, 27, 28, and then ran the final 160m in 30.40 seconds for an outstanding time of 2:13.40. Matthew Gomez was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in sixth place overall.
In the Sophomore 4x160m Relay, Freshman Jacob Cosby exploded out of the blocks and ran the first leg of the relay in a 160m split of 21.48, and made a nice exchange to Freshman Jack Webster. Jack Webster ran a 160m split of 23.84 on the second leg of the relay, and made a good exchange to Freshman Josh Borgwardt. Josh Borgwardt ran a 160m split of 21.68, and made a perfect exchange to Freshman Brian McManus. Brian McManus anchored the Mustangs with a 22.37 160m split for an official time of 1:29.70.
In the Varsity 4x160m Relay, Junior Max McCoy ran the first leg of the relay in a 160m split of 22.31, and made a good exchange to Junior Calvin Kuhnen. Calvin Kuhnen ran the second leg of the relay in a 160m split of 20.25, and made an exchange to Freshman Alex Ortiz. Alex Ortiz ran a 160m split of 22.46 on the third leg of the relay, and made an exchange to Freshman Kyle Friedler. Kyle Friedler ran a 160m split of 23.82 to anchor the Mustangs to an official time of 1:28.94.
