In the Fall, Freshman Brian McManus, Freshman Christian Thorsberg, Freshman Kyle Friedler, and Freshman Alex Ortiz earned All City Honors in the CPS Freshman Cross Country Championships. Northside was very excited to have all four Freshman, Brian McManus, Christian Thorsberg, Kyle Friedler, and Alex Ortiz in the same 4x800m Relay for the first time during Indoor Track & Field season. It took longer than expected for it to happen because McManus and Ortiz compete in Basketball in the winter, and Thorsberg competes in Hockey in the winter. The Four Freshman All City Cross Country Athletes earned MEDALS in their first relay together!

The Northside Freshman finished in sixth place to reach the medal stand, and complete the scoring with an official time of 9:59.02. Northside Freshman Brian McManus ran an 800m split of 2:27.02 on the first leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Freshman Christian Thorsberg. Christian Thorsberg ran an 800m split of 2:36.92 on the second leg of the relay, and made a perfect exchange to Freshman Kyle Friedler. Kyle Friedler ran an 800m split of 2:27.82, and made a nice exchange to Freshman Alex Ortiz. Alex Ortiz anchored Northside to sixth place with an 800m split of 2:27.26 for an official time of 9:59.02.
