In the 4x800m Relay, the Fully automated Timing results were incorrect, and we now have the correct places, but we do not have the offical times for all of the schools. Illiana Christian won it. University High finished in second place. Northside finished in third place with an official time of 9:13.52. Lane Tech finished in fourth place. Mather finished in fifth place. Brooks finished in sixth place. Chicago Bulls finished in seventh place. Kelly finished in eighth place to complete the scoring.

Northside Sophomore Matthew Gomez ran 200m splits of 30, 33 (63 for the 400m), 34 (1:37 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in 35.52 seconds for an 800m split of 2:12.52, and then made a nice exchange to Max McCoy.

Northside Junior Max McCoy ran 200m splits of 32, 34 (66 for the 400m), 35 (1:41 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in an EVEN split of 35 seconds for an 800m split of 2:16.84, and then made a perfect exchange to Kenny Dumez.

Northside Junior Kenny Dumez is a great athlete, and competes in three sports. On Friday, he ran in his first high school Track meet of his athletic career.

During the Fall Cross Country season, Kenny Dumez went from a personal record of 21:11 at the Rebel Invitational on September 7, 2013 to a 17:28 at the IHSA Regional Championships on October 26, 2013. Kenny Dumez dropped three minutes and 43 seconds during the 2013 Cross Country season!

During the Winter Wrestling season, Kenny Dumez qualified for the IHSA Sectional Championships by pinning his opponent in the Regional Finals. Kenny Dumez also had over 20 wins during his Junior Wrestling season.

Dumez is going to have a major impact for the Mustangs in the Long and Middle distance races. He has incredible work ethic and strives to run personal best times at every meet for the Team. On Friday, Kenny Dumez ran 200m splits of 31, 37 (68 for the 400m), 36 (1:44 for the 600m), and after some trouble with traffic in the exchange zone, ran the final 200m in 40 seconds for a personal best 800m time of 2:24.62, and made a good exchange to Tom Frejowski.

Northside Junior Tom Frejowski anchored the Mustangs to THIRD place with 200m splits of 31, 35 (66 for the 400m), 37 (1:43 for the 600m), and then ran the final 200m in a NEGATIVE split of 36 seconds for an 800m split of 2:19.26 for an official 4x800m Relay time of 9:13.52.
