Northside Sophomore 4x800m Relay Breaks Meet Record at Highland Park Twilight Invitational and WINS City Title!
On April 19, 2013, the Northside Sophomore 4x800m Relay, Danny Rosen, Max McCoy, Matthew Gomez, and Malcolm Grba, upset New Trier, and broke the meet record against all odds, in unthinkable conditions, which included, hail, snow, and 25 mph winds!! It was the greatest performance in the history of the Highland Park Twilight Invitational. The Northside Sophomore 4x800m Relay was awarded Meet Record Plaques by Highland Park Head Coach Kevin Gaines.
On May 3, 2013, the Northside Sophomore 4x800m Relay, Danny Rosen, Max McCoy, Matthew Gomez, and Malcolm Grba came from behind to WIN the Sophomore 4x800m Relay City Title!!! Danny Rosen, Max McCoy, Matthew Gomez, and Malcolm Grba are the first athletes in the history of Northside to WIN the Sophomore 4x800m Relay City Title!
