CHICAGO MARIST TRACK AND FIELD

 On Friday, February 3, 2012, the Northside Freshman traveled to Skokie, Illinois for Niles West Wolves Indoor Classic. The meet featured 17 Teams. Individual events and relays were scored on the following point scale: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

 Niles West won the Freshman division with 145.50 points. Northside finished in SECOND place with 138.00 points!!! Northside posted victories over: 3. Mather (51 points), 4. Walter Payton (49 points), 5. Niles North (31.50 points), 6. Taft (26.50 points), 7. Northtown (24.50 points), 8. Von Steuban (24 points), 9. Lincoln Park (19 points), 10. North Lawndale (13.5), 11. Schurz (8 points), 12. Gordon Tech (0 points), 13. Marshall (0 points), 14. Lake View (0 points), 15. Orr (0 points), 16. Calumet Perspectives (0 points), and 17. Austin (0 points). 

 The Northside Freshman now have a season record of 15-1!

 In the Shot Put, Northside Freshman Ari Perlmutter finished in SECOND place with a personal best throw of 29'9. Northside Freshman Calvin Kuhnen completed the scoring by placing eighth overall with a personal best throw of 17'11. Northside scored 9 points in the Shot Put! Northside Freshman Declan Galleher threw a personal best 16'4. Northside Freshman Harry Winters threw a persnonal best 15'10. Northside Freshman Adrian Black threw a personal best 7'3. 

 In the Long Jump, Northside Freshman Porter Abbey finished in third place with a personal best jump of 15'8.5. Northside Freshman Tom Frejowski finished in fifth place with a personal best jump of 15'4.25. Northside Freshman Harry Winters completed the scoring by placing eighth overall with a personal best jump of 10'8.

 In the Triple Jump, Northside Freshman Porter Abbey finished in SECOND place with a personal best jump of 25'3.5.

 In the High Jump, Northside Freshman Porter Abbey finished in third place with a personal best jump of 4'8. Northside Freshman Ari Perlmutter finished in fourth place with a personal best jump of 4'6.

 In the 1000m run, Northside Freshman Connor Fulton finished in third place with a personal best time of 3:22.7. Northside Freshman Declan Galleher finished in seventh place with a time of 3:53.5.

 In the 55m High Hurdles, Northside Freshman Ari Perlmutter finished in fourth place with a personal best time of 10.90. Northside Freshman Matt Osborne finished in fifth place with a personal best time of 11.50.

 In the 50m Dash, Northside Freshman Tom Frejowski won his heat, and finished second overall with a personal best time of 6.90.

 In the 800m run, Northside Freshman Max McCoy finished in SECOND place with a personal best time of 2:32.40. Northside Freshman Adrian Black finished in fourth place with a personal best time of 2:37.50.

 In the 4x160m Relay, Northside finished in third place with an official time of 1:37.90. Calvin Kuhnen ran a 23.80 160m split on the first leg of the relay. Declan Galleher ran a 25.77 160m split on the second leg of the relay. Harry Winters ran a 25.56 160m split on the third leg of the relay. Connor Fulton anchored the Mustangs to third place with a 23.94 160m split, for an official time of 1:37.90.

 In the 600m run, Northside Freshman Connor Fulton placed SECOND with a personal best time of 1:46.70. Northside Freshman Calvin Kuhnen finished in fifth place with a personal best time of 1:53.60.

 In the 400m, Northside Freshman Tom Frejowski WON it with a personal best time of 60.80.

 In the 55m Low Hurdles, Northside Freshman Matt Osbourne finished in fourth place with an official time of 10.0.

 In the 1600m run, Northside Freshman Max McCoy finished in fifth place with a personal best time of 5:41.0. Northside Freshman Adrian Black ran a personal best time of 5:56.0.

 In the 200m Dash, Northside Freshman Tom Frejowski finished in third place with a personal best time of 27.60. Tom Frejowski scored 28 points for the Mustangs! 

 In the 4x160m Weightmens Relay, Northside WON it with an official time of 1:42.60, and even finished ahead of the Mustangs Sophomore Weightmens Relay. Northside Freshman Calvin Kuhnen, Declan Galleher, Adrian Black, and Harry Winters combined for a official time of 1:42.60.

 In the 4x400m Relay, Northside held off a charging Mather anchor leg to finish SECOND overall to Niles West with an outstanding time of 4:23.89. Porter Abbey ran a 66.29 400m split on the first leg of the relay. Matt Osbourne ran a 64.66 400m split on the second leg of the relay. Max McCoy ran a 68.44 400m split on the third leg of the relay. Northside Freshman Ari Perlmutter anchored the Mustangs to second place with an impressive 64.41 400m split, for an official time of 4:23.89.
