Northside Junior Imran Haluk Senlik lead the race for the first 360m, stopped a lap early, re-started, and then finished with a personal best time of 3:55. Imran Haluk Senlik displayed impressive leg speed and will be a great addition for the Mustangs in both the 400m and 800m.

In the 55m High Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Lucien Fitzpatrick WON his heat, and finished fourth overall with a personal best time of 9.37 (officially 9.40).

In the 800m run, All City 800m runner, Senior Pat Duffy, injured his hamstring on the first lap. The Niles West trainer gave the Northside coaching staff a good medical report, and there is a chance he will be back in time for the Lonnell Poole Invitational. Duffy had to be scratched from the Mile and the 4x400m Relay. Northside Junior Patrick Brennan ran an outstanding time of 2:19. Northside Junior Brendan Kelly also competed for the Mustangs. The Northside Coaching staff was getting Pat Duffy medical help, and missed Kelly's race, and will have his time as soon as we receive the official non-scorer results.

Graham was also at practice on Monday morning at 6:00 am, running 1200m repeats at River Park Track. Graham notifies the coaching staff in advance, anytime he has an afternoon schedule conflict, so he does not miss a day of practice. Niles West Pinto and Walter Payton Bejaberg tied for fourth place with a time of 1:35.80. Walter Payton Smith finished in sixth place with a time of 1:36.30. Mather Gaona finished in seventh place with a time of 1:36.8. A Mather runner also finished in eighth place to complete the scoring with a time of 1:37.90.

In the 400m run, there were multiple errors by officials and the Northside coaching staff in the 400m run. First, the official inadvertently made an error, and didn't allow Mac Melto to run in the fast heat. Several Teams had multiple runners in the fast heat of the 400m, while Niles West didn't allow Northside to have any athletes in the fast heat. As soon as the coaching staff didn't see Melto in the fast heat, they went to the starting line to make sure Melto was allowed to run in the next heat. Melto had a big lead in the second heat of the 400m, and was unaware of the location of the finish line, and stopped for several seconds because he thought the race was over. When he saw the other runners continuing on to the other side of the track after he stopped, Mac Melto showed great presense by re-starting, and winning his heat of the 400m with an incredible finish at the line to secure vital points for the Mustangs. Mac Melto won his heat, and finished tied for third overall with a time of 56.40 in the 400m. Melto scored 23.50 points for the Mustangs by winning the 50m Dash, placing second in the 200m, and tieing for third in the 400m.

The official results had North Lawndale Jordan in first place with a time of 54.90. North Lawndale MaGee in second place with a time of 55.7. North Lawndale Gwdy and Northside Mac Melto tied for third place with a 56.40. Niles West Aubain in fifth place with a 56.6. Niles West Bard in sixth place with a 57.40. Lake View Argan in seventh place with a 57.90. Von Steuben Gulan was listed as finishing in eighth place to complete the scoring with a 58.50.

In the 55m Low Hurdles, Northside Sophomore Lucien Fitzpatrick finished SECOND in his heat, and third overall with a personal best time of 8.49.

In the 1600m run, Northside Junior Patrick Brennan ran an outstanding time of 5:17. In 2006, Northside legend Joseph Terdik started the season with a 5:20 mile, and then ended the season wtih a 4:37 at IHSA Sectionals. Brennan is capable of a similar time drop this season. Northside Junior Raymond Siddiqi ran a personal best time of 5:34. Raymond Siddiqi ran the first 800m in 2:45, and then ran the final 800m in 2:49 for a personal best time of 5:34.

In the 200m Dash, the official results have North Lawndale Terry Magee listed as winning it with a 24.40. The Northside coaching staff watched all the heats to see if anyone would beat Melto's time in the first heat (24.60). The Northside coaching staff saw one athlete run a 24.40 from Calumet Perspectives to win it, and believe an error was made on the name and school of the first place athlete. Northside Senior Mac Melto won the fast heat, and finished in second place overall with a time of 24.60. Niles West Glotzer finished in third place with a time of 25.20. Gordon Tech Taylor finished in fourth place with a 25.2. Marshall Davidson and Mather Walker tied for fifth place with a 25.4. Gordon Tech Finlay finished in seventh place with a 25.5. Calumet Perspectives Williams finished in eighth place with a 26.0.

In the 4x400m Relay, Northside finished in sixth place with a time of 4:01.48. Northside Senior Dan Graham ran a 57.61 400m split on the first leg of the relay. Northside Senior Josh Williams ran a 62.59 400m split on the second leg of the relay. Northside Junior Patrick Brennan ran a 59.90 400m split on the third leg of the relay.
