Northside Alumni legend Cooper Eben visits the Mustangs as they prepare for De La Salle Indoor Classic!
On Tuesday, March 8, 2011, Northside Alumni legend Cooper Eben visited the Northside Mustangs at River Park Track, and inspired the TEAM, as the Northside Varsity prepares for the 2011 De La Salle Meteors Indoor Classic.
Cooper Eben helped the Mustangs to an IHSA Regional Cross Country Title in 2008, a City Championship in 2009, and ran a 9:55 3200m run in 2010. He also scored the most points by a Senior on the Northside Track & Field Team, and was Senior Male athlete of the year.
Cooper Eben currently attends Duke University, and as a college Freshman, Cooper Eben ran at Cross Country Club Nationals. At Nationals, he ran one of the top three times on the squad.
The De La Salle Meteors Indoor Classic will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2011. The bus will depart at 8:30 am, and the meet will commence at approximately 11:00 am with a unique order of events.
The following is the Order of the Track Events for the De La Salle Meteors Indoor Classic:
1600m run (1st event of the meet)
4x400m Relay (2nd event of the meet)
55m High Hurdles
55m Dash
800m run

Northside Entries will be distributed in practice on Thursday, March 10, 2011.
