In the 50m Dash, Northside Freshman phenom Nathaniel Agharese won the 50m Dash with an outstanding time of 6.60. It was the beginning of an unbelivable night for Nathaniel Agharese. The Northside Freshman school record for points in a meet was 32, and has lasted since 2006. Nathaniel Agharse BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD FOR FRESHMAN POINTS in a meet by scoring 36 points, by winning the 50m Dash, 200m Dash, and placing second in the 400m run, and High Jump! Nathaniel Agharese is also one of the Mustang best Freshman distance runners, but you won't see him in a distance event anytime soon. Nathaniel Agharese went undefeated in eighth grade in the 100m and 200m dash, and has never even used starting blocks until high school. Prior to coming to Northside, Nathaniel never raced any distance longer than 200m. In August 2009, Nathaniel Agharese joined the Cross Country Team to stay in shape for Track, and emerged as the Mustangs best Freshman distance runner for three miles. He also ran a 56.00 400m on an outdoor track with the Varsity, during a cross country practice in the fall, in which the Team was running nine quarters. Nathaniel Agharese also made the Northside Varsity Top 12 for Cross Country for the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational. He could put anyone of the Mustangs relays over the top, including the 4x800m Relay. Northside also received outstanding performances at the Niles West Wolves Indoor Classic in the Freshman 50m Dash from Freshman Kendall Elue (7.40, 7th place), and Freshman Chaojie Gonzalez (7.60). Freshman Sprinters Elue and Gonzalez also have a distance background from running cross country for the first time in the Fall.

In the 800m run, Northside Freshman Javier Mulero placed fifth overall with a personal best time of 2:42.3.  In the 600m run, Freshman Andy Voung finished in seventh overall with an official time of 1:50.8. Freshman Paul Ricks finished in 10th place overall with an official time of 1:58.4.

In the 400m Dash, Freshman Nathaniel Agharese was very hungary prior to the 400m dash, and was afraid to eat something at the meet. Nathaniel Agharese finished in second place with a time of 65.69, and learned that he needs to eat something between events at evening track meets (i.e. power bar and water). Nathaniel Agharese would later come back after digesting some food, to win the 200m dash with an outstanding time of 25.70.

In the 1600m Run, Freshman Brendan Kelly finished in fourth place overall with a personal best time of 6:08. However, with Wrestling, Chess, Bowling, and Basketball seasons ending this month, the Mustangs will have additional help on all levels shortly.

In the 4x400m Relay, Nick Hill was sick, and Northside miler Brendan Kelly helped out as a last minute substitution.
