Hunter Speese breaks school record in the 100m Dash with a 11.91! Wemi Jemine runs 12.10!
On Friday, May 16, 2008, the Northside Varsity Men Track & Field Team traveled to Deerfield, Illinois for the IHSA Sectional Championships at Deerfield High School.
In the 110m High Hurdles, Freshman Hersh Perlmutter ran an outstanding time of 20.17. Sophomore Andrew Czyszczon ran an outstanding time of 21.27.
In the 100m Dash, Sophomore Hunter Speese BROKE THE SCHOOL RECORD with a personal best time of 11.91! Junior Wemi Jemine ran a personal best time of 12.10.
In the 800m run, Junior Simon Vecchioni and Sophomore Cooper Eben both ran outstanding races. Simon Vecchioni ran the first 400m in 64 seconds, and the next 400m in 66 seconds for a personal best time of 2:10.52. Cooper Eben ran the first 400m in 64 seconds, and the next 400m in 70 seconds for an outstanding time of 2:14.48.
In the 400m Dash, Senior Preston Buehrer ran a season best time of 60.52.
In the 300m Hurdles, Freshman Hersh Perlmutter ran an outstanding time of 47.09. Senior Santino Merino ran an outstanding time of 49.52.
