CHICAGO MARIST TRACK AND FIELD

 On Saturday, March 29, 2008, Northside Freshman Charlie Mesimore, Junior Simon Vecchioni, Junior Eric Nelson, and Sophomore Cuitlahuac Pineda Youniss broke the SCHOOL RECORD in the Distance Medley Relay at the Illinois Prep Top Times Invitational with a time of 11:25.65. Freshman Charlie Mesimore ran a 3:29 1200m split on the first leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Captain Simon Vecchioni. Junior Simon Vecchioni ran the first 200m in 30 seconds, and then ran the next 200m in 33 seconds for a 400m split of 63 seconds, and then ran the next 200m in 36 seconds for a 600m split 99 seconds, and then ran the final 200m in 34.63 seconds, for an personal best 800m split of 2:13.63!
