HSU Running Camp - General Information
For the past three summers, the Mustang Cross Country team has traveled north to the "Redwood Curtain" of Humboldt County, to attend a week long running camp hosted at Humboldt State University. This camp, sponsored by the Asics Aggie Running Club, is run by legendary Coach Jim Hunt, his wife Jo Ann, and Aggie Kevin Searls. This year the camp is from July 25th to the 30th.

Monte Vista is given a limited number of spots to this camp - approximately 20 excluding coaches. Due to this, Coach Davis sends out invitations to running camp. Returning varsity runners, and top JV/FS runners from last year, as well as those runners who may have had break-out track seasons, receive an invitation.
Each year, there have been a few spaces open for those teammates interested in taking their running 'game' to a higher level. You must be in shape to attend camp - as the 2-3 workouts per day are not for the meek!
