West Nassau gave the Indians their first loss in Suns Stadium a week earlier but they now had to come to Folkston. The Indians wasted no time in the home half of the first, putting up five runs on the Warriors. Scott Birchall led the way for the Indians with a double, single, and two RBI's. Richard Dasher picked up a hit and 2 RBI's in the 4th. Jesse King got the start for the Indians and pitched 6 strong innings, surrendering only 1 run. Richard Dasher closed it down on the mound in the 7th. Indians cruise to a 10-1 victory! 9-1 on the season.
Charlton get first loss in the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville
The Indians took a trip an hour south to the the home of the Jacksonville Suns to play West Nassau out of Callahan, Florida. Last year the Indians got their first loss in this venue, and this year would be much the same. Although the Indians outhit West Nassau 7-5, they left too many runners in scoring position to push ahead. Scott Beasley got the start for the Indians and despite striking out 11, the Indians suffered their first loss...5-1. Charlton moves to 7-1 on the season.
