Charlton County Baseball

Charlton was looking for the sweep when they headed to Ocilla to face Irwin County.  Charlton won the first match up between the two earlier in the season by a score of 6-1.   This one would be closer, but Ryan Young was too much for Irwin hitters.  Young went the distance, striking out 4 and only allowing 4 hits on the night.  Jacob Baxter, Joshua Crosby, and Scott Birchall all doubled for Charlton, while the rest of the team helped to rack up 9 hits.  Jacob Popham and LJ Talley each had an RBI.  Charlton wins 5-3 and moves to 2-0 in region play.  8-1 on the season.
