Posted by Thad Marchman on Mar 01 2013 at 04:00PM PST

#2 in the Private School rankings, Savannah Christian visited Charlton on a very chilly Saturday afternoon.  Charlton County  took the lead in the sixth inning at Indian Field and held on for the victory. An error scored Jacob Baxter and gave Charlton County INDIANS Varsity the lead for good.

Jacob Baxter put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Charlton County INDIANS Varsity. He tripled in the fifth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

LJ Talley got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He pitched 3 2/3 shutout innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered three hits.  Scott Beasley got the start pitching.  Indians were down 5-0 (2 earned) when Talley took over after 3 1/3.  Jesse King delivered the big hit allowing Josh Crosby to schore from first knotting the game at 5-5.  LJ Talley's deep fly ball gave the Indians the go ahead run with Talley crossing the plate.  Indians go to 6-0 on the season (1-0 in Region Play)
