Team Dinner Information.......

Posted by Tracie Giarmo on Sep 14 2009 at 05:00PM PDT

Below is some information that will be helpful/useful for the team dinners.

KEYS

You will need to pick up the keys for the Life Center and Social Hall at St. Mary’s Rectory from Sara (241-1644) between the hours of 8:00 AM and Noon and 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM on the day of your dinner.  The keys are to be returned the next day.

DINNER - The dinner should be prepared and ready to serve by 5:15 PM

The parents putting on the dinner decide what is served.  You should plan on having enough to feed approximately 60 people (43 players, coaches, parents putting on the dinner).  Some dinners that have been served in the past include, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips; steak, baked potato, salad; tacos.  The boys aren’t fussy!

You can prepare your meal at the Life Center or Social Hall or you can bring it already prepared.  Do whatever works best for your group.  Everything you need to cook with will be in the Life Center or Social Hall and you are welcome to use it.  Everything must be returned to where you found it.  There are dish towels to use also, but you will need to launder them and return them the next day or you can bring your own.

 DRINKS

A jug of Gatorade is made; however, some people have brought milk in addition to the Gatorade.  In the Life Center there is a jug for Gatorade and an ice machine to use.  Buying the powdered Gatorade and mixing it in the container works fine.

PAPER PRODUCTS

There is a container of paper products that will be passed down week-to-week.  The container will be brought to school after the game on Friday and passed on to one of the parents (or child) of whomever has next week’s meal.  Before you pass the container on to the next person, please restock the container for the next dinner.

CLEAN UP

We are required to clean everything up after the dinner, wipe down the tables and vacuum or sweep the floor.  Please be sure to return everything you use to the appropriate location.

COSTS

All families are to share equally in the cost of preparing the meal.  Another option is to get a sponsor for your dinner.

Please feel free to contact one of the captains parents if you have any questions.

Thank you!
