2013 Big Al Jamboree

For the third year in a row, we will kick off the 2013 Fall Ball season with Al Price (Big Al) & Scott Price; international trainers, authors & coaches. Big Al and Scott will be teaching player development with their Bubba Baseball and Skills Jamboree to players ages 4 thru 12 in Distict 33.  These special clinics will take the place of games for week 1 for the Caps, Minors and Majors divisions. Take a look below for details for each of the player development clinics.

Bubba Baseball Jamboree (4 thru 6 year old players)
Saturday, September 14th
Time: 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Players Age: 4 thru 6 years old

This is a fun training and development opportunity for 4, 5, 6 year old youngsters & their parents. This is a fun training and development opportunity for experienced 5 and 6 year old young players & their parents. Al Price (Big Al) & Scott Price; international trainers, authors & coaches will lead the Jamboree. Some of the benefits of Bubba Baseball:

  • It is fast moving
  • It teaches where to make the play
  • When and where to run
  • How to hit (with a big bat) live pitching

Bubba Baseball is fun for all ages, but for Fall Ball this is only for 4-6 year old players (next season’s age)

These Clinics is for Fall Ball teams only, not individual players. Compete in exciting skills competitions with teams and players from across your league. Step up to represent your team and qualify for individual and team awards in throwing, catching, fielding fly balls, fielding ground balls, base-running and sliding, plus compete for individual and team hustle awards. We will have 2 sessions, the first one will be for players ages 7, 8 and 9 years old.  The afternoon session will be for players ages 9, 10, 11 and 12 years old. These Jamborees will be held at the Chollas Lake Little League Junior Field located at 5860 College Grove Dr., San Diego, CA 92105 (across the street and down the hill from Chollas Lake Little League).  Please see the attached flyers for each Jamboree more details.

World Series All-Stars Tournament

The final level of the Little League All-Stars Tournament is the World Series. The spotlight division for the World Series has always been the 11/12's that play in Williamsport PA. But there are 8 other divisions that end the All-Stars tournament with the World Series. 9/10's So-Cal State Tournament

The 3rd level of the 2013 All-Star Tournament is called "Divisions or State." In Southern California, since there are many leagues,  Little League has divided Southern California in half and have 2 tournaments called Sub-Divisions. The North Sub-Division winner plays the South Sub-Division for the title of Southern California State Champion. D33 is proud to host the 9/10's Baseball So-Cal South Sub-Division games and So-Cal State Championship games at Chollas Lake Little League, July 20th thru July 29th. This is the final level of the tournament for this division. Below you will find information for the 9/10's tournaments hosted by D33. We will update the brackets nightly.

Western Region All-Stars Tournament

The fourth level of the All-Star tournament is the Regional level.  District 33 is in the Western Region for both Baseball and Softball. Unfortunately, we do not have any teams representing  D33 playing in this level of the All-Stars Tournament. But if you are interested in following the tournament, then click on the links below to view all Western Regional final results.

Allied Gardens Little League lost their second game in the So-Cal State Championship tournament against Encino Little League on Sunday night (7/28). Congratulations to Allied Gardens for their outstanding run in this year's All Stars tournament and for their 2nd place finish in the 2013 Southern California 10/11's Baseball All-Stars Tournament.
