How does a team get to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA?
1) Win the District 4 International Tournament. District 4 is comprised of 15 leagues, including Alameda, that play baseball.
2) Win the California Section 1 International Tournament. Section 1 is comprised of 5 districts in Northern California including District 4.
3) Win the Northern California International Tournament (State Level). Northern California is comprised of 7 sections from Northern CA including Section 1. (9-10 & 10-11 ends at Northern California). The Northern California tournament for the International Tournament begins July 19 and will be played in San Jose.
4) Win the Little League Baseball Western Regional Tournament held in San Bernardino, CA. The LLBBWR Tournament is comprised of 4 State Champions plus Norther and Southern California. The West Regional Tournament runs August 1-9 with games being televised on ESPN 3.
5) The Little League World Series is comprised of the winners of the 8 United States regions and 8 International Regions. The LLWS runs August 14-24 and is televised on ESPN and ABC.
