Fury Comes up Short in State Championship Match 2007

The mighty Mustang Fury came up a little short in the Sate Cup Final against MVLA.  In  another close game with their rivals from across the Bay, MVLA dropped one in on a PK in the first half and held on to win 1-0.  This does not take away from the great season the girls had and the job the coaches did to bring them as far as they went.  The Fury will be bound and determined to come back next year even better and stronger than this year.

The Fury makes it to the State Cup Championship game versus MVLA

The Fury had a great weekend in Turlock winning the quarterfinal game on Saturday against a tough defensive oriented Santa Clara Team.  The final score was 2-0.  In the semis, the Fury matched up against a strong Bay Oaks Team and again prevailed 2-0. In the opposite bracket,  MVLA defeated PAC and San Juan 1-0 each to reach the finals.  Everyone has been looking forward to this much anticipated Championship Match! The game will be played on Saturday in Livermore at 11:00 AM.
GO Fury!!!!!!!!

The Fury advance to the Elite Eight by outpointing the scrappy San Juan Silver team 3 -0.

In a game dominated offensively by the Fury, a scrappy San Juan Team allowed the Fury to convert only 3 of their 39 shots on goal. The Fury offense was in high gear and played beautiful team soccer weaving passes and moves together all game long. Tough defense and tenacity kept the ball almost entirely in the offensive half of the field for the whole game.  The Fury did defend a PK that went too high in the first half.  Next up is the Santa Clara Sporting Ruckus in Turlock ! Go Fury!!!!!

Fury takes bracket in opening round of State Cup

On a cold and windy weekend at the Cherry Island Soccer Complex,  the mighty  Mustang Fury took care of business to advance to the round of 16.  With multiple players coming off the IR list and attempting to play for the first time since December, the Fury knew it would be a challenging weekend. In the opening game the Fury fought off the sleepies and a sluggish start to defeat the SV soccer team 4 -0.  In game 2 on Saturday the Fury woke up in the second half to pull away with a 7 -0 win over the Placer Black team.  On Sunday morning in a game played with 40 MPH winds,  the Fury faced off against BOCA. With the wind against them the first half,  the Fury were still abel to punch in a goal. With the wind with them in the second half,  the action was entirely in front of the BOCA goal.  The Fury knocked one more goal in for insurance toward the end of the Match. The round of 16 will be played at Morgan Hill on February 10th.

Fury finishes 2nd in the Mustang Winter Turf Classic

The Mustang Fury gave it a game effort this weekend playing 5 soccer games in less than 42 hours.  In bracket play the Fury defeated the De Anza force 6-0, And Elk Grove 8-0 and finished in a tie with a much improved Bay Oaks Bombers team.  The Fury advanced to the Semi -Finals as winners form their bracket where they faced the Fury 96.  The Fury defeated the 96ers in a 3-2 high scoring affair. This set the stage for another match up against the Fury's cross the Bay rival,  the MVLA Lightning. With both teams giving all they had and leaving it all out on the field (And breathing very hard on dead ball situations),  the teams battled to a 0-0 tie at the end of regulation.  In overtime MVLA scored on a beautiful direct kick that found its way to the top of the net ending the game.  A big applause is due the girls for being gamers and playing hard all weekend. Next up is State Cup in 2 weeks!! We hope all the injured girls heal up in time for a fun run at the State.

Fury dominates the Action at Odyssey Cup and wins it's 4th Championship of the Year!!

The Fury racked up 16 goals and only only gave up 2 en route to it's 4th Tournament Championship of the Season. In game 1 the Fury got off to a slow start but picked up the pace and defeated a pesky Santa Rosa Team 4-0. In game 2, in a game virtually played in the dark,  the Fury routed the Ajax team 7 -0. In the semi finals the Fury jumped out to a quick lead and won 3-1 over the dynamites of Tracy.  In the Championship game which featured 2 of Nor Cal's top teams,  the Fury found themselves down 1-0 on an early counter punch by the San Juan Spirits.  The Fury answered back with three goals before half and added a fourth in the second half in a very impressive showing. A great team effort by the girls all weekend as their Team chemistry really showed. Congratulations Fury girls and Coaches!

With a convincing 3-0 win over the Fury 96, the Fury left no doubt as to who the top dawg in District III was again!!  The Fury outshot the 96ers by 20 -1 and controlled the ball the entire the game.  Next up is the Clovis Tournament on December 9th and 10th.

With one more League game remaining, the District III Championship is on the line.  The Fury has amassed 25 goals and has not given up 1 over it's last 4 games against Fremont, Newark, Livermore and San Ramon. Fury Dominates the Action at the So Cal Blues Tournament.

Capturing the attention of all who saw or heard about them, the Mustang Fury dominated it's top notch competition from So Cal and beyond.  The Fury opened up play with a 6-0 drubbing of the Extreme from Arizona. In game 2 the Fury  matched up once again with it's old rival, the Arsenal. It took almost the whole first half to get going but the Fury took control of the game before half and ended in a 1-1 tie. On Sunday Morning the Fury played perhaps their best game of the year by slamming the door on the mighty Slammers from Newport beach 3-0. The Fury won their bracket outright and advanced to the quarters against the Tabagators from Nevada. The Fury dominated play and won 4-0.  In the Semis which featured the nation's top 2 U-11 teams (according to gotsoccer.com) the teams battled to a stalemate through regulation and 2 overtimes. Although the Fury played a magnificent game,  the Blues prevailed in PK's 4-2.  The Fury should be very proud of playing at an incredibly high level against the nations best all weekend! Next up is District III League play.

Fury wins it's 3rd Tournament Championship of the Summer in "the By The Bay " classic

The Fury handled all comers all weekend never really being tested outscoring it's opponents 15 -1.  The Fury dominated all aspects of the Championship game against PAC United.  The final was 2-1 but the action was much more lopsided than the score.  Great Job Fury!

Fury Captures 2006 Mustang Stampede Tournament!!

In their best performance of the year, the Fury soundly defeated their Nor Cal rival MVLA Lightning 3-0 in the Championship match. The entire Fury Team played it's best game of the year, with great passing, defense, tenacity and shot selection. The 2 teams will undoubtedly meet again this year. The Fury racked up a total of 23 goals in 5 games while only giving up 2.
