The U14 Mustang Fury defeated the 95 Deanza Force 1-0 in a hard fought defensive battle this past Saturday in the Sweet 16. The Fury won 5-4 in penalty kicks after a scoreless regulation and two overtime sessions. McKenna Kummer, Madison Castelein, Dana Outcalt, Ashley Christensen, and Erika Perez converted their penalty kicks for the exciting victory.
The U14 Mustang Fury qualified for the State Cup Finals after defeating SACYSL California Northstars in the Quarter-Finals, 4-0; goals scored by Allie Dutto (2), Sara Peterson, and Melissa Lewis, with assists by Madison Castelein, Erin Donnelly, Sara Peterson, and Makenna Kummer. Mustang Fury then defeated Dublin Fury 2-1 in the Semi-Finals. Goals were scored by Allie Dutto (assisted by Jessica Gillespie) and Erika Perez.
The Finals came down to a rematch between MVLA Lightning and the Fury. This year, the Fury managed to recapture the cup in a win that came down to PK's. After a duel between goalies and numerous kicks, the Fury came out victorious.
Another Win for the Fury at the Mustang Winter Turf
The U14 Mustang Fury girl’s soccer team won the 2010 Mustang Winter Turf this past weekend in Danville. The Fury defeated the Livermore Elite Crew 3-1, Elk Grove Everton 7-0, and tied DeAnza Force 0-0 on the way to the 1-0 championship game against the Rocklin Strikers. The Fury were led in scoring by Erika Perez (6 goals, 2 assists), Jessica Gillespie (3 goals), Allie Dutto (1 goal, 2 assists), Melissa Lewis (1 goal); with assists from Sarah Peterson (2), Erin Donnelly and Chelsea Arnold. Gillespie flicked in a header for the winning goal off a free kick by Sarah Peterson in the final.

FURY brings home the Gold at Placer!
Fury earns the gold at the Placer Prestige Cup after a hard fought battle in the championship game against Dakota Rev SC Rampage, #1 ranked team in Minnesota. Fury comes up with the win with a final score of 1-0. This is the second championship earned under head coach Chad Harper and assistant coach Josh Harper.
