The Invaders defeated Team Players 14-6 to remain undefeated and increase their record to 5-0. The Invaders scored on the first play of the game when QB Michael Hawkins hit WR Taurus McGhee with a 65 yard touchdown pass. The 2-point conversion pass was completed to BB Danny Gay to give the Invaders an 8-0 lead. Team Players responded with a 65 yard scoring drive. The drive consisted of two 4th down conversions. The last 4th down conversion came with 4th and goal from the Invaders' 10 yard line. On the play, Team Players completed a 5 yard pass to their left BB who was able to evade Invaders' defenders and reach the ball across the goal line to cut the lead to 8-6. Invaders' Safety Taurus McGhee intercepted the 2-point conversion pass attempt. On the Invaders' second possession, Hawkins conducted his own 65 yard scoring drive. He completed passes to TE Matthew Anderson, BB Aaron Kinchen and TE William Johnson. He capped the drive with a one yard toss to BB Danny Gay to give the Invaders a 14-6 lead. The 2-point conversion kick attempt was blocked when Team Players were allowed to rush the Center-Guard gap. Both teams held tight defensively in the second half and the Invaders survived with a 14-6 victory.
