The Invaders came out on fire and never looked back when QB Joseph Chaney threw a 65-yard touchdown pass to WR Taurus McGhee. The 1-point conversion kick was blocked. The Invaders' defense, led by MLB Ed Green, came out strong also. Rushers Donnell Newman, Demarco Maddox, Greg Kelly and Ricardo Williams provided outstanding pressure all game. The defensive secondary was outstanding while coming up with 4 interceptions and several goal line stops. Taurus McGhee in his dual role at safety intercepted a pass at the Invaders' goal line and returned it 100 yards for a touchdown. McGhee totaled 2 interceptions and 2 touchdowns for the game. Joseph Chaney and CB Daryle Barnett also came up with key interceptions. Chaney also tossed a 25 yard touchdown pass to TE Timothy Black.
