2012Feb11

On Feb 11 in London at the University of Western Ontario, Virginia Hlacar picked up a 3rd place over 800m. Mike Boucher took second in an open 60m with 7.33 while Kyle Daines ran an early season 8.02 over the same event.

Mary Ollier finished 4th in the 60m followed by Savannah Simpson, 5th .

Marcus Wu and Kyle Daines did the one – two, respectively, with an 8.52 and 9.22 60m hurdle finish. Mary and Savannah finished second (9.46) and fourth (9.73). Tavsia Radoslav managed a preliminary time of 9.79 before wrapping up the day. Ken Slessor, at the higher 99cm hurdle heights, probably had a better start in his preliminary 60mH. Just an assumption by the writer but a 98cm clearance is bound to affect your time. Whatever it was... we’re pulling for ya’ Ken. It’s just the start of the season anyhow.

Wes Miller opened his 400m with a second place 53.36 ahead of Kens’ 53.61. 3rd place finish. Tavsia cruised to 5th (62.5) in the womens open section.

Mid distance athletes Nicholas Barnes opened with a 4:31.56 with Michael Sault following in at 4:51 over the 1500m race.  On the gals side Virginia Hlacar repeated a 3rd place while team-mates Emma Mitchell and Paula Mawryczew turned in 5:41.40 and 6:08.97 performances.

Burlingtons men were 1st in the open 4x200 relay in a time of 1:34.97.
